How far can you OC ram?

So ive got 1600mhz crucial ballistix currently at 1866, how far would I be able to safely OC?

you can go pretty far on RAM

mine is stock 1600MHz and its running 2666MHz stable.

Depends, most likely some type of cheaper ram chip in that kit, most likely Hynix AFR.  Doesn't tend to clock well usually, and can't handle a lot of volts.

 

You may be able to run something like 2133/2200 11-11-11-27 or something like that.

Don't even bother to OC RAM. Not only does it benefit system performance very little but it is also very hard to diagnose a problem with the overclock. If you OC your RAM it could pass memtest86 for 24 hours but then when you turn on your computer it BSODs. It's just not worth doing.
