Cooler Master announces MasterAir Maker 8 with 3DVC technology

Cooler Master announces MasterAir Maker 8, which will be the first cooler from Cooler Master to use its 3D Vapor Chamber (3DVC) technology. Cooler Master claimed that this technology would improve cooling efficiency by up to 19 percent compared to other CPU coolers.

Like essentially all high-end air coolers, in the center of this cooler is a large aluminum heatsink. Attached to the heatsink are two 140 mm fans with red LEDs.

Cooler Master also added a few customizable features to the MasterAir Maker 8. On top of the cooler is a replaceable translucent cover. Users are able to design and print their own customized top covers.

Very pretty of a cooler, and extremely excited for their Mastercase Pro 5 update as well.  They're finally adding things!

These're using their new Silencio 140mm fans.  Which apparently have multi-colored leds now!

That thing is 2/3rds plastic. Makes it look super tacky.

I agree. If they had used brushed aluminum, then it could have looked kickass and also would retain more heat dissipation because of the extra aluminum. I like the design, but the plastic look ruins it.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Since LED lights have been worn out as a tech fad... adding 3D printing to everything is the new rave.

Looks really solid, would like to see review of it for sure. Since it's vapor chamber and now in so called 3D I'm sure it works great.

I have hope it just surprises us and is like a single-tower NH-D15.

I'd be surprised if it performs better than D15.
