Thank you. It was between that and the grey and blue. But I really like the white and green theme well that and the PBT keycaps which do feel a bit different:)

Wanted to do a redo of the pictures of my mech keyboards due to the "potato quality"

Ducky DK9008P Premier Green & White Version PBT Mechanical Keyboard (Blue Cherry MX)

I love the keyboard wish it had more of a curve to it instead of a normal joe frame keyboard for comfort but its great. Also interesting enough it has a ducky shine 3 plate on the back of it probably the same frame as what people would run across as the ducky shine 3 / the all caps led backlit, the animal space bar and the PBT keycap difference which you can see very defined white.

DSCN3880_zps288957d3.jpg

My logitech G710+ this is the one I use for my gaming due to me not wanting to wake up the neighbors with my Ducky. Also in the picture is my Sennheiser HD598's and my Razer Naga 2014 version with the Mechanical keys.

So just wondering, if there is anybody else with the Ducky Shine 3 with blue LEDs, does your , . / ; ' keys light up? the <>?": lights up though, its like the LED isn't lighting it.

Also, the keycap remover, do I just position it and pull upwards to remove the keycap?

you very well could go that route you could go also the route that wasd recommends which is kind of a side to side type method.

With your hands. Place them the way they are supposed to be facing and slide it back in. You won't hurt it by using your hands.

@EclipseSkye just place it in the correct orientation and push it on then give it a nice hard push and chack that its the same height as the other key caps.

Here's my current daily driver: Corsair K65

I'm gaining interest in buying some new keycaps for this little guy later, preferably blank or side printed keycaps. Does anyone mind giving me a quick little run down on ABS vs PBT keycaps? I just know from doing a little reading that PBT has more durability. (Any specific vendors I should check out for some blank/side printed keycaps?)

After having used the Das Keyboard and Razer Blackwidow(blues), I made the switch and ventured out to Cherry MX reds. Happy to say that I'm very pleased to how these feel for both gaming and general typing. Was worried I'd be unhappy missing my click clack sounds and tactile feel but I actually don't. The lack of noise with touch typing is a nice change of scenery :^)

PBT has a bit more of a stiff feel to it almost in line with a typewriter if you've used one. They aren't as smooth as a ABS key cap. It can take some adjusting I personally like the feel it has a more solid feel. I have one of each my G710+ is ABS my Ducky is PBT. PBT caps are more sturdy then don't have the letters on the keys bleed over time and I would imagine they would last longer to. A downside as well is that as far as I've seen I have yet to see a PBT cap that can produce LED through the key so that may be something you don't want.

In terms of where you can find keycap replacement sets I would look to a site like mechanicalkeyboards.com/tigerimports.net

Ducky puts out some of the best sets for replacements. This comes with every key you would ever need and it comes with a key puller. It is expensive however so it may or may not be worth it to you.

The Razer Blackwidow 2013.

Chery MX Blue.

Nice and clicky, great feeling, solid as a baseball bat. Not too flashy. Had it for about 6 months now. Synapse 2.0 is not as bad as some might say. Far from perfect, but OK.

I really love typing on this thing. :)

Thanks for the info! And I also did a little searching for PBT caps that brought me to that site last night. Everyone pretty much sells a set for around $40-60. While I'm definitely not getting it anytime soon, I'm still looking around to make sure when that time does come, I'll be buying from the right place

That set looks awesome btw! I'd like to see it in white too

Make sure the cross is lined up correct under the keycap to the switch and press down till it goes all the way down. You probably don't have the key pressed all the way down.

PBT key caps are the shizznizzle, I love 'em! :D  Right now, I using a Leopold FC660M, Leopold FC660C and a HHKB 2 for my three rigs, all have PBT key caps.....ABS simply shines so quickly. PBT lends a different, some would describe as 'premium', feel over ABS although some do prefer ABS over PBT.....and then, there's always POM.

It is slightly elevated compared to the other keys though now.

If it's slightly elevated when compared to the other keys on your keyboard, simply depress it more firmly, simply press down vertically till it 'clicks' into place, sometimes there's no sound....but if done right, that key should be level with the other keys on the keyboard.

To me the stiffness really had nothing to do with the keycaps and I far prefer the texture and feel of PBT over ABS. PBT keycaps are far less prone to shine as well. Any backlight caps are clear caps that have been painted, then had the letter etched out, and then coated so the paint doesnt flake.

It is slightly elevated compared to the other keys though now.

POM is quite rare for keycaps compared to PBT and especially ABS. But i must say non of my keyboards are complete until they have a set of PBT caps. Most people that say they prefer ABS are usually talking about double shot keycaps usually cherry height. Thing is we now have double shot PBT in varying heights so they should have no reason to hold out anymore. Dyesub PBT are my favorite kind of caps BTW.

I prefer the texture of the PBT keycaps as well. However, I find that over a long period of time that ABS has been easier on strain. However that may still be due to me getting used to the caps (PBT, and cherry blues, been using browns exclusively)  :)
