Shadow of Prodigy

HCP
Well, this is gonna be a quick quick weekend mod.

I already have my workstation up and when i looked at the Bitfenix Shadow i liked the shapes.

So this little front panel mod is about combining the Bitfenix Prodigy and Shadow.

Well, let´s go!

My workstation right now

Specs

AMD A10 6800k

16gb GeIL EVO Veloce

2x120gb Intel 320 SSD

VTX3D Radeon 7950 X-Edition Boost

Custom watercooling, 240mm radiator in the top with Be Quiet! fans and red led 140mm fans in front and back.

And here´s how it looked before i was tired of the front piece :)

And the Bitfenix Shadow i got inspired by.

The shape

Right now...

Fan controller will be lifted out to the same level as the new front panel.

Its not you, the front of the prodigy is flipped, otherwise i cant have a fan controller in the 5,25" bay, the 240mm radiator is sitting in the top and takes all space :)

Is it just me or the wrong CPU has been chosen for this build? Why didn't you take FX-6300 if youre running HD7950?

Just had the 7950 laying around, i rarely play games. Maybe some car sim taking a brake.

As its a workstation it doesnt matter :)

Hehe yeah, rather than spending a $150 on a workstation card, i used what i had :)

I really just needed the extra outputs for my three monitors :P

No offence but if I'm honest I kinda prefer how it was previously, but it's your PC of course :).

Its just me and my wacky ideas, its not even sure i will use it.

Its mostly to try it, i like prodigy on that part. Front panels avalible cheap and easy to swap.

Well, here is the rough shape. I may be putting in an angle in the lower part of the front also, dont know yet.

Some filing and putty/bondo to do now!

Almost burned my brain out getting this angles correct :)

Well, primer on. Some small surface sanding to do before final paint. (black).

Dont know if i want the fan controller in the front either, just a high polished aluminium bitfenix logo.

99% done now, i put my fat fingers on the front piece, noticed it now when i packed away the camera, well...

Flash on camera makes color diff bigger than its really are.

have some re-aligning to do on the logo, and lower it a bit.

Went with a brushed alu style on it :)

Final pics soon, will take them daytime to prevent bad pics :)

Thanks guys!

Now its time for the next step and make something about the Prodigy handles, cant have round handles in the top and bottom with this new front panel :)

Designing something new in sketchup right now, hold tight :)
