RAM Overclocking benefits?

I just wanted to know how much RAM overclocking will increase system performance. For example, I have a very slight overclock from 1600MHZ CAS 9 to 1866MHZ CAS 9 (DDR3 2x8GB). I'm thinking about tasks such as video rendering, photoshop and gaming. Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you. (technically speaking, it was from 1366 CAS 11 to 1866 CAS 9 since I just discovered XMP and RAM overclocking lol)

Just how much faster it can be, like overclocking NB there is no direct performance increase but it'll help if you got a RAM disk or memory intensive stuff.

No real difference that is worth the effort. LTT made a video about this already, better spent OC the CPU and GPU as they are much more of a difference than a extremely tiny ram difference

Verifying ram overclocking is really difficult, so I wouldnt reccomend it.

memtest86? That's what i did... Ran it for like a good 2 hours and it returned no RAM errors so I think I'm good

Well in scenarios where your running a CPU intensive program/game, higher RAM speeds will help boost performance. And in all scenarios Skylake seems to better from higher RAM speeds as well.

Data transfer rates will be helped but not by much. Same as OC your CPU doesn't do much ... just for showing off basically.

Overclocking the CPU is a pretty big jump, its nothing to push 30-60% higher than what a chip is clocked to stock. That is a huge jump. Ram though likely won't make more than a 3% difference going from Cas 9 to Cas 7 at the same clock.
