CSGO only running 100-130 FPS

My rig is this:    Asus Strix GTX 970 @ 135 core clock

AMD FX 4300 Quad Core @ 3.5 ghz

Ballistix Sport Dual Channel 8gb

Kingstion 120gb SSD

 

My game is on 1366x768 and 60hz, on low to medium settings and no antialiasing or anything. anything that can be disabled is. I also run a dual montior setup but it doesnt display the game and it runs at 1600x1200. Any help? is my CPU a bottleneck?

Enable multi-core rendering and type -threads 4 in game launch options.

CPU is bottlenecking. You should be getting roughly 200-250 FPS. My 290 manages 280 FPS with my i3, so that gives you an idea for an upgrade

yeah i just did all that and nothing happened, little lower actually. i have the stock heatsink so would it be more worth while to get like and i5 or something?

Saying as my Laptop with an i3 and an iGPU gets a similar frame rate at similar settings I think it is infact bottle necked...

And it's commonly noted as a CPU intensive game...

Well my Athlon X4 860K runs CS:GO better even if it is on Ubuntu which Linus said "runs games worse" so I call BS on Linus or on this...

 

I have a Laptop with P7550 and 130M and it manages 80fps fine so ANYTHING NEWER SHOULD NOT STRUGGLE!!!

Not sure how many time you have to be told that this DOES NOTHING for performance in CSGO, he even lost FPS, i said this before, my CPU did the same thing lol.

CSGO runs on the Source engine, the engine it's self does stutter under 100 FPS, it's visually noticeable, it's nothing to do with actual FPS, it's the engine it's self being garbage in CSGO at such a high frame rate.
