R9 280 stuck on PCIe 2.0

Yuniks

Hey guys,

So today I figured out that my Sapphire Radeon R9 280, which is a PCIe 3.0 graphics card, is stuck on PCIe 2.0 16x. I discovered this in the menu of the AMD Crimson software.

So I went into the Gigabyte DualUEFI BIOS and I went into the GFX Configuration in the Peripherals section of the BIOS.

Does this mean anything? Am I supposed to have another option selected here?

After I looked here, I went to the Miscellaneous section of the M.I.T. menu and found this:

There was no Gen3 option available?

Does anybody know how to fix this?

It makes 0 difference, if it were PCIe 2.0 X4 then it would be an issue but x16 won't be different form PCIe 3.0 x16

Correction: There will be no performance difference, the overall bandwidth in Gen 3 is double, but it won't effect any GPU in the near future.
