Do you guys think it would be a good idea if had a chat room here on LTT? I think it would make things more interesting, but I'm not sure if anyone would actually use it.

Would need some rules though. Like: Don't ask the tech related questions. That would defeat the purpose of the forum. Just make an off-topic live chat. That would be amazing

It it was specifically for suggestions like when people want to upgrade or buy new parts it would super cut down redundant topics.

No because it would be full of the 13 year olds of this forum shouting "420 BLAZE IT X0X0X0X0X" and would just be a toxic environment... to be fair its happening on the forums as well.

Oh, well like I said just an idea. I haven't been on here since May of this year. I'm a semi driver so I'm always on the road.

There won't be any official chat rooms. There are plenty of unofficial ones listed here http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/38415-unofficial-ltt-community-and-server-database/ . Reason behind why there won't be any official is moderation. It would take too much time and resources to keep it clean. In the end, you need to ask question "would are like this time/effort consuming thing more than quality content I get from LMG?"

 

To note. Twitch chat is already there. Its also there while channel isn't online. Just that there isn't much people there besides during WAN show.

Eh, pretty wrong thread to ask this? And if you want old tech, use pen and paper. Would be easier to keep around than carrying USB floppy.
