best $800 build for gaming

Okay guys.

I have a $800 budget and i want to build a pc with i5 4690k and gtx 970. Is it possible? I don't do rebates so keep that in mind!

With a bad PSU and other cheaped out parts, yes.

 

I would recommend a 390 and a raised budget of 900.

Look at mine in the description, add a ssd and 3 tb hard drive and get a better CPU

wow ram is really cheap now when i built my computer it was like 80 dollars for 8 gb

thanks for the build recommendation. why do you prefer the 390 over the 970? i like nvidias drivers better and almost every game is optimized for nvidia :D

Because the 390 performs better than the 970 in almost every game, AMD drivers are fine and the 390 has over double the VRAM (3.5GB on 970 vs. 8GB on 390).
