Hmm the 390 would is the best 970 you could get. 980 is overprices currently, there are better options for better price/performance

980 (Or a R9 fury if you are going 4k/1440p)  and a hyper 212 EVO, which processor are you getting?

Get the best GPU you can, then use the stock cooler (which is fine, and rated to work fine, just a little louder than other coolers but the temps should be within spec anyway or it would not be included with that CPU when you buy it) the really SMALL amount of time it takes you to save for a better cooler, couldn't be THAT long.

 

Get both of what you want...in due time.....prioritize.

IF you want to go Nvidia for whatever reason, go the 980. I wish I had...

 

The EVO does the job just fine, and the GTX 980 will perform notably better.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

So I can either get a 970 with a Corsair H100i GTX or a 980 with a stock cooler and in a bit a Hyper 212 Evo so which one should I get
