A few games run at 720p and 1080i........

a few... which is the ones who take up 8-20GB on their own... while the rest, like with PS3 takes between 1-3GB for the 576p or whatever resolution it was...

Now, PS3 and XBOX 360, from my knowledge, had only SATA2 revision speeds.

PS4 and Xbox has SATA3... ....

HOWEVER, dunno about the Xbox... but this is why PSN is great.... even if only has the disk version, not digital. You can DL this shit any day you want... which is great....

meaning you can toss away your slow HDD, get a 1TB SSD once they drop in price, then install everything on a lightning fast storage medium

ofcourse, its better to wait for PS5 or Xbox2, in hopes THEY will finally feature a Sata3 or NVME based SSD solution. Given that SSDs are dropping in price so quickly

SATA3 is irrelevant with HDD-none of them can max out SATA2......let alone a 2.5" HDD.....

I don't think cheating is limited to jailbroken devices, in the past they could be loaded from USB drives without jailbreaks. My console friends all did this on ps3s and x360s to unlock items exclusively available for preorders, certian retailers, or to unlock microtransaction "dlc." I think this is more for development without paying Sony, or unbanning a device, workarounds for 'always on' online requirements, installing custom programs (maybe even alternate OS) or using the hardware in chain as a computing server as seen PS4s stacked in the movie Chapie (really great movie by the way). The more complicated stuff that pertains to altering the console, altering a game doesn't necessarily need an altered console.

That is very true. I am referring to small indie games (even though 80% of them end up being shit). It is just A+++ are getting overpriced.

99% (or more) of ps4 owners got newer firmware.  So it is useless.

To play online you have to update your fimware to newest possible.

Another potential feature that can be done with this is something the Ps2 can do and that is load games from a NAS. Pirated or not.
