titan X

its a single GPU, you get full performance in all games and applications

the titan X only gets about the same performance in stuff that supports SLI

and even then, SLI scaling isnt perfect

For folding, the Titan Z will give you more performance. This is a dual 780 Ti vs single Titan X debate. In pure computation horsepower, the Titan Z wins hands down.

so trade or keep?

How?

Titan Z is a dual GPU card which relies on SLI, which can be problemmatic.

For gaming, Titan X is better, for folding, Titan Z better

It was a rhetorical question. Most games support SLI (exception of a modern one being Just Cause 3) and two-way scaling is very good.

Which ones better, is it a good idea to trade a z for a x?

which means i loose the z, gain the x?

Thanks

For gaming i'll trade the Z for X or sell the Z for $1000+ and grab the X or 980 Ti KPE.

Nah, 2x CFX barely works in some games. 3x is not a good idea unless you're doing some compute tasks or benching for e-peni.

It's like comparing the GTX 580 to the GTX 680.

580 for computational tasks, 680 for gaming.
