(It's a last minute holiday gift guide for those who don't have vessel)

Like the video, but you do know the amazon discount percentages are 95% bullshit, right?

Most of those are regular price. the c920 and at2020usb+ are more than when I bought them, for sure

I mean, you might get rekt when this goes up on youtube.

Maybe some text one screen about this?

what does that have to do with the discount %?

its the price that matters...not what % discount you get

if its a good price, then great

if its a horrible price, like thousands of dollars, it doesnt matter if its 90% off since people cant afford it anyway

when something on amazon is say "51% off",, it's 99% likely it's the same price it's been for a year.

The video was saying "this is x percent off, ect"

A bit misleading.

ok...and so just because its been like that for a year means that its not 51% off?

because plenty of times I see the price at a discount, then come back a few weeks later with money and the price is back up to the normal value...

But yah vessel is painful, they really need to make improvements

I'm kinda perplexed by the whole vessel thing (The only reason i have a vessel sub is because i got it for free, when it ends there is no way i'm paying for it.). The idea is to get content from your favorite creators 1 week early. Which i understand is a viable model, RoosterTeeth does something similar and it works well. But vessel doesn't seem worth it at all if you don't watch a bunch of stuff on there. I "assume" that most of us don't watch much of anything else on vessel (channelsuperfun not included), and it doesn't really make sense to pay the subscription for just one content source.

Netflix and Hulu makes sense because its easily available content that you cant always find other places. YoutubeRed and CrunchyRoll premium make sense because thety offer add free services with added premium features like offline video, professional subtitles, and hell even YoutubeRed INCLUDES google play music subscription. And subscribing to websites such as Roosterteeth makes sense because you directly support your favorite content creator and they offer you 2+ hours of NEW entertainment each and every day.

Vessel just allows you to watch content 1 week early...Which is only important if, 1.Your friend watches it a week early and wants to discuss. 2. It is only current when it's on vessel, or 3. YOU NEED TO BE THE FIRST TO SEE IT! ....But quite frankly all those reasons are flimsy at best. IDK what to think of vessel.

I know it probs wouldn't happen but i would rather pay LMG $5 a month directly and have them host their videos 1 week early on their own website....I'm sure they have enough server hardware to do that :)

most of the time not, and most of the time it's the same as normal price elsewhere. Even when it's actually a deal-

Normal Price: 150$

Current Amazon Price: 130$

According to Amazon -Was: 250$

sometimes it's the original MSRP years ago, sometimes it's 100$ above that!

Here's an example-

The AT2020 is universally the "great 100$ mic" if you get the xlr version

Then there's other versions, like the USB plus, like I own and is on the video.

Both the base and the USB plus have been at or near their price point for a long time, and the price point is 75% of it's success as an entry level mic.

Very recently, AT2020USBi was launched, and I know for a FACT it launched at 199$

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020USBi-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00VTI0WKK

List price: 359$

And such is the case with most items, especially tech ones-

the current price is just fine, but it never cost the 'before price' anywhere ever

same is true of the USB plus in the video that he mentiosn the discounts on everything. I just don't know they exact launch price, but it's the successor to the AT2020USb and launched when the regular version was at its current price point or near it

In fact, I take notice and am very surprised when an item is on point, like this one

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MK4M2LL-12-Inch-Display/dp/B00VSB1RZC

but not about the USB plus http://camelcamelcamel.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020USB-PLUS-Condenser-Microphone/product/B00B5ZX9FM

the lowest price was on black friday/cyber monday this year

now its back up, but still below the price it has been for the past 3 years
