Bootcamp Combo Headphone Jacks not working.

Go to solution Solved by DrMacintosh,

Pretty much what the title says, I've tried to reinstall drivers and get reinstall windows. There still no fix I went on Apples potato forums and still theres nothing there. I've tried pretty much everything, went into the sound control panel I still can't find anything. Anything you guys would recommend?

I am a novice Bootcamp user, I used to run Windows 7 on my 2011 iMac (now my secondary comp) And as far as I know, you cant use the combo jack functionality when running windows. I looked into this about a year or so ago......The jack should work, but you cant have a mic/headphone combo or anything....

No problem, Its kinda weird....but when you think about it....what PC has a combo jack? I only have the standard jack on my PCs front panel. Apple was weird and included a combo jack and a line in on some of its Macs......#redundant The only reason i wanted to use it was so my Apple EarPods mic could work xD Ehh, Apple is weird sometimes, but I still love them.

Yeah, Apples prices are market up a lot. But im ok with paying $750 for a phone, but not $1,000+ for a laptop/desktop that I could build on my own for way less (although I still love OSX)
