Are SanDisk SD cards good?

Guest

I have a Kingston 16GB now, but I think it's broken, keeps dismounting after a while whenever I put it in my phone.

Is a SanDisk one good? I actually already ordered a 16gb SanDisk ultra, class 10, want some confirmation. :P

Yes. I have a SanDisk 16GB (Ultra, even) in my phone and it's pretty nice (just too small lol).

I had an old SanDisk 4GB SD card that went through the washer a few times and still worked.

Wasn't happy when it was dropped into the oven and then melted though. That made it mad.

Sandisk is really solid when it comes to SD cards. There's no nonsense in their marketing, but their blandness can make them seem cheap at times, so the apprehension is totally understandable.

it should serve you very well.

was it near your GTX 480?

hehno (my 480 runs moderately cool).

It fell in an oven.

15 euro :P but it comes with an adapter, sort of a deal.  http://www.bol.com/nl/p/sandisk-ultra-microsd-kaart-16-gb-adapter/9005000012364031/

Not quite sure what that is in USD, but seems decent. (I got the adapter too, but gave it to my stepdad since I didn't need one).

I just realized that I've had the 8GB SD card from SanDisk in my laptop for like 4 years (not in the laptop for that long, like the card). And it's had a lot of stuff written and erased and stuff.

Well that's a nice reassurance, hopefully it's not the SD card port in my Moto X Play at fault, but I tried the Kingston in my sister Moto G 2013 and it displays the same behaviour.

One can only hope. :P I can't imagine how I could live without external storage since I have 5 gigs of music alone...
