edit: changed the PSU.

Glad that you took into consideration my recomendation

Hi Guys,

It's time to build my first own Gaming PC.

I was able to play Fallout 4 on my boyfriends PC and I just love it and I really would like to have my own.

These are the parts I chose. My BF said he can get me a cheap case and his old SSD so I don't have to worry about this.

What CPU Cooler could you recommend?

Sorry that everything is in german here, but I think you will recognize the parts I chose.

post-126126-0-25440700-1449399777_thumb.

So what do you think? Could I get something better for a similar price?

Thank you

Mia

Welcome to the forum :) Remember to always follow your own posts

You don't really need 16gb of ram unless you are doing photoshop or video editing so if this is just used for gaming get a 8gb kit and use the extra money on something else. Also, what website is this so I could translate it to English to pick out parts for you.

I'm a beast

Alright, are they not good?

Not for AMD GPUs. Stick to Sapphire, MSI, XFX or Powercolor.

Nope, cheap VRMs, sub-par coolers, awful customer support

I've swapped the 16GB for 8GB dual RAM. Is it fine?

And the GPU for a  PowerColor Radeon R9 380X 4GB PCS+ Myst. Edition Video Card

Is 380x worth the extra 35€?

Thanks for your advices!

And should I get 2x4GB or 1x8GB RAM? Is dual-channel faster?

And can I play everything at 1080p?

It doesn't matter too much, I'd recommend dual-channel.

Yes, you should be able to play everything at 1080p 60fps at medium to high settings.

Can you tell me why you chose those parts?

CPU: It is a quad core and great for gaming.

Motherboard: It is a z97 chipset which is great for overclocking if you upgrade to an unlocked CPU in the future

RAM: They are just reliable

GPU: cause it fits in the budget and is a good card. There is nothing like, a particular company is better or bad.

PSU: 80+ gold and Seasonic.
