looking to buy a surface pro, and please don't bother suggest any other laptop or mobile device, a surface is what  i want. What I am wondering is, which model should I get. The core m3 model is C$1179.99 which has 128Gb ssd, 4gb ram. The i5 model has the exact same specs, just an i5 6300U instead of m3 and costs exactly $100 more. I mainly use the surface for school, taking notes, web browsing, watching videos, not gonna game too much, maybe some light indie game, got my main rig for the heavy games. but i dont even know if the i5 will be worth it. Please help me choose, thanks!

Uhh the core i5 has a much stronger GPU and CPU over the core m3 model. Highly recommended over it.

That said, if indy gaming is a high priority the i7 (i7-6650u) model used has a VERY impressive iris pro GT3e gpu which is probably twice as capable as the i3's gpu.

Is that worth it to you? I can't know, but it is something to note.

Other note: I would never recommend 4 GB of ram, even light use is much more smooth with 8GB of ram.

I don't think these are really designed for gaming at all, so I wouldn't expect much in that department.

I agree completely with @Curufinwe_wins don't get anything with less than 8GB of RAM. It's not worth it.
