Posted December 5, 2015 So I have my OS installed on my Samsung 840 Evo, and it has sped up my boot times so much I would hate going back to booting on an hdd. I have also heard that SSDs are a big upgrade if you install games on them. Would it be worth it to buy a 500gb ssd and install all my games on it? Usually for games that can have alot to load (Like skyrim) the area will load ultra fast, so it may be worth it to you. But if you don't mind the 15ish or so seconds of loading time, don't bother. Posted December 5, 2015 some games would benefit like Fallout 4, the difference would be noticeable, but on a game like eve online, you wouldn't really notice a difference as load times are already good. as previously stated if the game usually loads a lot, its nice to have instant loads where you'd usually have a 1-2 second pause.
