he should not use prime95 if he has an intel CPU though

I recommend something like MSI Afterburner to watch your gpu in depth.. but if you're looking for something rather simplistic, the NZXT CAM software is a great tool and I use it pretty much 24/7. Another fantastic program is CPUID's HWMonitor - that'll tell you everything you'd ever need to know thats going on inside your computer temp and performance wise... Good luck man, hope the new rig suits you well.

I like using Core Temp for CPU temps, and GPU-Z for GPU temps.

Thanks man, I'll give Msi afterburner a go. My new rig is really awesome so far I absolutely love it.
