I'm very satisfied with the Sapphire Nitro R9 390

Ric_Slayer

Wow, this is a massive improvement over my R9 270X. I mean, of course I expected improvement, but I wasn't expecting it to perform this much better. My scores in all benchmarks have doubled, including Firestrike, Valley, and Heaven. As of right now I have the Core OC'd at 1120 MHz and the memory at 1600 MHz, and it runs everything stable so far, on full load core temp peaks at 65 C. I have yet to run into any issues, I'm sure I could push more out of it, but I'm already playing everything at well over 60fps at 1080p, it would litereally be pointless, especially since I use my living room TV as my monitor which is only 1080p/60Hz. I'll continue playing around with it though just to see how high it goes.

I don't understand what you mean....? How can I post a status update if I've never had a topic on this before?

On my profile? I'm confused. I don't understand what I did wrong, I see people post topics like this all the time in this section, and now I'm getting crap for it. Nevermind, I apologize to all of you, just ignore this, I will figure out how to delete this topic and I will never share again.

Cool. :)

Now start playing around with VSR and crank your games up to 1440p. Make it work a little harder. ;) You should still get solid performance but your games will look better.

Go onto your profile page and you'll see a place for your own "status update" kind of like on facebook. Usually things like this are posted as status updates instead of a new topic/thread. But no worries, I guess you didn't know.

It's ok. Some people just have to be you-know-whats for trivial reasons. As you said people post threads/topics like this all the time. Don't sweat it. ;)

Very cool, gotta love upgrades! I can't wait until I build a proper gaming system instead of a productivity oriented rig.

This might have been a bit better in the User Reviews section as a post, these sections are usually used for questions.

I'm sure if you ran some benchmarks and fleshed out the original post a little others might find it useful in the Reviews section :)

Welcome to the forum!

Sweet it is impressive isn't it. I went from 270x to strix 390 (I know people hate on it but I have not had issues). Have not even bothered to oc because it runs everything smooth and fast at ultra on base settings. Very good bang for buck card
