So I have this cooler master psu , is it enough for a strix gtx 970 if i get a 6pin to 8pin adapter?

nope, it's advised to go with a new one that has a dedicated 8 pin gpu connector

if you need an adapter, chances are you're going to create a house fire.

 

even if the wattage is theoretically enough, if the connector isnt available that means the psu isnt built for what you're wanting to do.

 

PSU calculators are random bullshit generators

theres some sense in some of them. but yeah, dont blindly trust them.
