Posted August 25, 2013 Hi, Me and some friends want to have a lan party but none of us really know what you need to host one. There are 4 computers and i read online that you need a network card but none of us have one , we do have a location and enough power. Posted August 25, 2013 Your PC will have a built in network adapter.. so the only other thing you will need is a router with 4 ports.. Posted August 25, 2013 You need a router with 4 extra ports. If your router doesn't have 4 extra ports, you'll need a 5 port switch. Posted August 25, 2013 Basicly any game with ability to make lan servers. Any older game and most of valve games. Posted August 25, 2013 Just had one last night, 8 people total. Had to use a switch. We mostly played Unreal Tournament 3, Left 4 Dead 2, and Team Fortress 2. We also tried out this Tron light cycles game called Armagetron. Had a blast. I haven't been to one since my college days. These are also fun games COOP: Civilization V Payday 2 GTA IV Any free online game Start together with Guildwars 2 and discover the game together. And a lot more games.
