Posted December 2, 2015 So after watching the LTT videos about the history of Intel and AMD processors on Vessel I was inspired to do something a hell of a lot different than my typical build. May I introduce you to- DREAM MACHINE 98' PURPOSE I'm going to be building a high end gaming PC from 1998, the year I was born. Here are the components of choice, taken from a Maximum PC magazine from September of 1998, a month prior to my birth. I used to remember Abit mobo but i think they were for AMD Thunderbirds Deschutes was the king of the P2 lineup till P3 came along Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Posted December 2, 2015 in 1998 the Voodoo2 GPU was released in Feb good luck finding one and it still working I only remember my 486PC which my dad got from his office then we went for the Pentium 166MHz with the Turbo button i skipped the P2 and went for the PIII Coppermine which was my actual gaming PC with the Creative Graphics Blaster Geforce Pro with 32MB of DDR RAM Budget?
