whats up guys. I'm currently rocking a GTX 760 2gb. I also had a GT 730 just laying around and I added it to my pc just cause.  What i want to know is what benefits(if any) do i gain by doing this. *I've added pics below so you all can see the rest of my specs. please try not to refer any new cpus to me, i already know my gpu is to much for my cpu. I also have 8gb of ram. thanks and have a nice day.post-290422-0-74707300-1448993441.png

Well, you have a PhysX card for.. PhysX.. Which is only used in a handful of games.. so... I dunno

Physx is rendered on the cuda section of your graphic card, which means you really dont gain any FPS from having a dedicated PhysX card, unless you are using your CUDA cores for something else in the background, like rendering a video using your CUDA cores

You might actually be bottlenecking your system by letting such a weak card take care of physX

remove the GT730 you don't even wanna plug it in again. a few weeks ago, i test a GTX770 and a GT730 as physx and the performance was like hell, no it was hell². just remove it and keep your GTX760. do some overclocking if you need more performance

did you go in the control panel and change the 730 to dedicated physx. and i dont need to over clock because my cpu is a bottleneck so i aint going to see any gains unless im playing a gpu game like tomb raider.

Im currently rendering in blender

if had an extra GPU like a GT 730 i could use that GPU to render meanwhile i use my main GTX 670 to game on

but since i dont have a extra GPU i have to sit here watching youtube and posting comments

The GT730 is far less powerful than a GTX760, so you get worse performance by using the 730 for physx than just letting the 760 do it itself

yup that's what i did. as i said you'll only get a performance boost if you use it for cuda, anything else would be a perfromance killer

i was lookini at linus video right. he used a 580 and i have a 760. about the same perfomance i think. then he used a 8600gt and i think the 730 is smoke the 8600 and its like i tier slower that a 550ti and i have one of those but i gave it to my kids.

and good dvd burning programs because all my 760 is off load a little bit of the load from the cpu. so i really cant do much but watch youtube while im working.

You can use it for additional displays. That's it.

Technically you can dedicate it for PhysX but it's like "Is it beneficial to use my Vespa if my other choice is a Dodge Viper." It's not technically counter-beneficial but it is very seldom the better choice.

Your GTX760 would have to be fully utilized by something else for it to be a good choice to use the crappy card instead.
