"Preload Entire YouTube Videos By Disabling Dash Playback"

TopWargamer

I hope I'm not necroing this thread but I've somehow finally managed to install Youtube Center for IE 11. ;) It was quite an achievement for me..but after going through all that trouble, I just found out about this in the Youtube Center wiki page; "Please note that by disabling Dash Playback will result in 480p and 1080p not being available. This is because of a recent Youtube change."

I'm feeling a bit down right now. That 1080p is the reason I'm doing all this because of my slow Internet.. :(

I know it sucks not having 1080p I hope theres a fix in the future.

I don't think there will because presumably the youtube servers were suffering under the load of more people turning dash playback off (presumably it puts more load on their servers otherwise I can think of no other reason) so they have blocked it. Sucks though.

I don't know if was said already as I didn't read trough the 4 pages. But for me it loads all of it without Youtube Data Center.

All I did was to enable HTML5, you can try and see if this is a solution for you guys too.

I know it sucks big time and I hope there's a fix soon but having dash playback off is too good so

at moment I rather have 720p.
