MSI GTX 970 at 1440p?

Dayfly

The topic says it all, I'm just looking at your opinion on how the 970 would perform at 1440p. Setting don't really need to be at max

Games I usually play: Assassins creed, BF4/ BF3, CSGO, Watch Dogs, Witcher 3

Then get a really good 1080p and keep your settings while improving the image and color quality. Wait until the prices on 1440 come down.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Thats what I was thinking, but I really want to get a 27in. maybe maybe an Ultrawide, depends on prices. and apparently no one recommends 1080p at higher than 25in

I wouldn´t go for a 27" in 1080p honestly. Rather go for a 1440p. Your GTX970 is going to be okay since you don´t need as much AA in higher resolutions. True in some games you might have to reduce the details but you should be fine.

Asus ´s PB278Q is a nice affordable 1440p IPS monitor.

I have a 25" and it's as big as I'd want a monitor to be. I'm a little over a foot away from it and get no pixelation. IPS makes a HUGE difference, I wouldn't buy anything else now. Also with the new simulated ultra HD through Crimson my 1080p looks incredible, and I max out settings in the games I play. I'll make the jump when the prices on quality monitors in the upper resolutions drop, not just the entry level versions. Just my 2c

If anyone asks you never saw me.
