Which GPU performs better and What is the power consumption

Owlcatraz
Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

there only 3 option:

Asus 2GB R9 380 STRIX OC PCI-E VGA Card

Sapphire 2GB R9 380 DUAL-X OC

Gigabyte R9 380 WINDFORCE OC

the shop im going doesnt have a stock of MSI, EVGA, XFX, PowerColor, Zotac, Gainward

but there another shop that only have MSI:

MSI R9 380 Gaming 4G Graphics Card

and there out of stock but i can request

Sapphire - no question

is this right?

Dual Bios means double bios installed on a gpu. You might have seen there's a button on your gpu, one is to use the second bios which is especially for overclocking the other is for normal gaming at base clocks. There's also a button to flash the bios, just in case we mess up with them, it brings them to default settings. Yes, it enables boost clock. And again yes, dual bios can be operated with legacy and uefi bios.

i was reading on this web and i found this

don't have any experience with this - might want to ask seasoned OCers

The blue button is legacy support, all it does is effect how quickly the PC boots. If you have a modern PC with a modern operating system, you want the blue button to glow blue.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Does it have in MSI version or just only Sapphire?

As far as I know that's a Sapphire thing.

Nitro is quieter and cooler but Dual-X is also good. Certainly better than anything Asus or Gigabyte have to offer. MSI Gaming 4G and XFX DD are also very good

I just found a shop that have MSI R9 380. Armor 2x or Twin Frozn and 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5

I got the R9 380 installed it and post :) but rarely it doesn't post. so i removed my old DVD (that i havent been using that much) just to make sure that the GPU is fully powered. What do i do when its not posting? i think i accidentally shaken the case probably side panel hit the pci e power connectors.

What do you mean not posting? Did you install the Crimson WHQL (non-beta) driver? The one from last week

Could be a PSU issue then. Missed POSTs usually point to unstable power

It's not a wattage issue, VS series are crap. Same for CX and CS

Cheap capacitors, mediocre electrical performance and they often fail crossload, low temperature tolerance of 30*C which results in instability.
