What were your temps before using the paste? I'm still using the default paste in my build and have been thinking of buying some.

well before i bought my thermal paste i was using generic silicon paste , which got me the same temps , execpt it was a idle :(and temps in the 80's for load

The stock cooler master paste that came with the cooler had dried up , so i didn't use it.

NT-H1 is among the best there is but what's leftover in the syringe dries out pretty fast and you really shouldn't use it after the one time. To mention a better paste: Arctic Silver 5.

mine hasn't dried up yet and i used it 6 months ago for the first time .

So shall I just go for the Silver 5?

no, AS5 is really old

it doesn't perform great either

NH-T1 and MX-4 are better choices

And again, which one would you recommend between the two? :P

Whichever is cheaper in your country.

I just like MX-4 better, but both are good

with high end thermal pastes like these the performance difference is only a fraction of a degree so it doesnt really matter which you pick

the only noticeable difference is when you go to liquid metal pastes, but those are dangerous

Only €0.90 difference.

GG, you can save yourself  €0.90 going for the cheaper one.

I'm an MX2 person, but MX4 is better objectively (I just think that MX2 is better value for money)

My favorite thermal paste so far has also been the cheapest one. Its made by a company which makes the paste for large scale industrial applications, but they also sell 1.6g tubes for only $3. http://www.tim-consultants.com/matrix2.html

I think I've have not replaced the TIM on my CPU in 3 years and temps are still the same as the day I applied it.

You can also get 2KG tubs of it if you want to fill your tub with TIM...

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX
