Auto is better for daily driving in traffic imo. Manuals are more fun, but get old when you commute 25 miles each way in traffic. Trust me on that.

Manual is a bit tricky to learn, but overall it is good to learn in a manual and get a manual licence even if you intend to drive an auto car. Its a good skill to have for sure.

Nope

ok then dont get manual unless you want to get someone to teach you or you pay for lessons

its more work to drive

you need to know what youre doing, its not like an automatic where you get in the car and you know how to drive it

Learn how to drive stick. Like really. You'll appreciate the skill down the line. Makes driving much easier, and give your WAY better control (especially in winter).

This is a shitpost.

You can still get a perfectly smooth ride in a manual, it just takes practice. And if you drive/buy a stick purely to "rev" then you're an idiot.

OP, driving stick is a very useful skill, and makes driving a much more controllable, and engaging experience. And it becomes second nature, to the point where it's just as easy as an auto.

You guys have to have a specific license for manual driving?

Not going to lie. For a daily driver, auto is just nicer.

I'm a car guy, but driving a manual can be annoying as shit if you already don't feel like driving, auto is easier to driver for longer distances, especially in the city.

Note, im not in any way a casual driver who's just saying auto for lyfe. I'm restoring a '67 impala (auto), and currently working on repairing my totaled '01 nsx (manual). The auto is just easier.
