Ways to install Windows on NZXT S340

So im planning on getting the NZXT S340 for my 2nd PC Build and I realized the S340 doesnt have an optical drive cartridge, and lets be honest, what else am i gonna use the drive for besides install windows. I've seen videos of installing windows on a flash drive but i dont really want to go that way unless necessary. So can i basically just take off the side panel, plug in the optical drive and power it and plug it with SATA and just put in windows and once it's finished just unplug everything. If not, are there usb optical drives, if so link me to some of them.

Hope I find help.

Sure, you should be able to do that. Also there are USB optical drives. Just search for one on any etailer.

In the US, here's a decent looking one.

Sig under construction.

You can use USB if your motherboard supports it, or just external optical drives. That's about your only options.

I used to be quite active here.

just use a USB flash drive.  Install the ISO on your USB drive using the microsoft image creation tool and BAM! you can now install windows.

>if your motherboard supports it

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all mobos since like 2004 support it.  Haven't had an issue yet with installing from USB on old hardware.

You said "install windows on a flash drive". Did you mean "install windows using a flash drive". Is there a particular reason that you don't want to?
