Spectator

I have had no issues with my CX600m but I have heard bad things about the CX line of PSU's. Worth Up grating? If so to what?

If you have the budget and the absolute need then sure? But the CX PSU's are NOT terrible, they just aren't high quality- and don't contain as high quality components as other PSU's within its price range. What's your budget?

Depends what your system specs are. The CX series is fine for basic builds. It's high end builds where it's not really suitable.

Please upgrade the PSU.

Get any XFX, Seasonic or EVGA G2 or GS.

For that I would want to upgrade to something better quality.

Anything from Seasonic, SuperFlower, Delta and XFX is a good choice. EVGA's B2. GS, G2 series are good, as well as Antec's High Current Gamer.

Make sure it's not the W1, B1 or G1 series (basically any of the NEX series). Go for the B2/GS/G2/PS/P2/T2 series.

I don't recommend grating your PSU. It doesn't matter if it's up, down or side to side.

I'd say replace it when it's 2-3 years old. It's fine until the caps start to wear out.

Finally someone to defend the CX series

I've always tried to defend things if I KNOW they are fine.

I haven't / my customers haven't had a single problem with Corsair's CX line.

My friend has 4690k and 970 and has been running fine for a year
