Begley95

Hi all,

Jacob Begley here, from northern Michigan. I've been watching Linus' video for quite some time now, and decided to join the forums.

Lots going on for me right now in terms of tech stuff. About a month ago, I purchased the Toshiba Chromebook 2 with the Core i3 CPU, and I'm very satisfied with it. It handles all my social media, documents, and music perfectly. But more recently, I decided to invest in a refurbished Dell Precision T3400 workstation desktop. It sports a Xeon quad core 2.4 GHz, 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive, and 8GB of RAM. I ordered it a few days ago from TigerDirect, and will be expecting it later this week.

I'll be posting elsewhere in the forums regarding doing some light gaming on said computer. Thanks for your welcoming me to the community, I'm sure it will be a pleasure talking with you all!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Hai c: And just curious, what PSU does that build come with? And nice 0 posts xD

It's a 375W PSU, not sure on the details but I may end up upgrading that if I decide to throw in a new GPU. Depending on power requirements, of course.

Here's the link if you want to take a look: http://tinyurl.com/pw9wzs9

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Just a little tip, you don't need to use a URL shortener as the forum does that itself.

Regarding your rig I think some low powered GPUs might work without the PSU update but depends on how much gaming power you want.

Also that sounds like an unexpectedly high specs for a chromebook: if you don't mind me asking how much was it?

It just came out in October, basically the same as the previous gen but with a backlit keyboard and optional i3. It goes for $429.99 via Toshiba Direct. Also, I'm kind of lame... not so into a lot of the super intensive gaming, all I'm looking for is Sims 3 on full settings with no stutter (because Sims 4 is disappointing IMO).
