LG monitor blue light flashing problem

Andrew48

Hi! For the past few days I have a problem with my computer monitor. When I try to turn it on, the blue light will start flashing on and off for some minutes but after some time the power led stops flashing and the monitor starts to work. If I dont turn off the screen, it works perfect but if it goes to power saving mode or I turn it off, It starts flashing again. Is my monitor dying? can I do anything to save it? The monitor is an  LG L22WTQ
Thanks!

I have a similar problem occasionally with my LG monitor, It usually solves itself if you unplug it and wait for a minute or so before plugging it back in :)

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately this didnt worked for my monitor when I tried yesterday. I even changed the cables and used a diferent wall socket but none of them workd :(

That's odd, Perhaps pressign and holding the power button may work?

Nope. When the power LED flashes the power button does nothing. the only way to turn off the monitor when the led is flashing is to unplug it from the wall

The same thing Occurs to my LG monitor from time to time. Pressing the power button does nothing, My assumption is that its sleep (no input) mode and standby mode are the same thing, The power button only puts it into standby. When I press the input button on the monitor it all comes back up.

Its weird because the only cord plugged into it is DVI, So I'm at a loss to why it automatically decides to switch inputs.

Does the Monitor ever cut out while using it?

  • 2 years later...

I opened the tower and took a look on where the screen cable goes, well this blue thing inside the tower was loose so I pressed it a bit and reconnected the screen-screws properly onto the tower...
