My friend is looking for a gaming laptop. The one on top is the one he originally wanted and the one on the bottom is what his dad's friend recommended. Can you guys give an opinion on the GPU of that second one?

First one is much better, though does he NEED a laptop? For $800 you can get a much better custom PC.

Lol,what? A 960m, a ACTUAL quad core CPU? A IPS AntiGlare screen? A SSD? And can probably easily add a 1TB HDD ... First one os honestly decent.

Show him whaat he can get compared to the first laptop. You can I think get a i5 and a 380 or possibly 290x for $800

The one on amazon is much better...i5 quad core vs i7 low power dualy (with HT)...960m is much better than a R5...1080p IPS screen vs 900p probably TN...SSD vs HHD...basically get the one on amazon...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

For gaming go with the i5 and the 960M if you want editing, 3D animation/rendering then go with the i7 but the Intel HD graphics will slow you down alot. :)

The reason why i said neither are very good is because it does not look like it will cool very well, and sure a 960m does not produce a ton of heat but those little vents on the back don't look like much. Also 8 gb of ram on a laptop may run into some problems in a few games, just make sure the game is all he does at a time.
