This has sort of already been posted , If the game is good and has lots of lore in it and has better cities than whiterun which was terrible then I might be willing to pay this, I'd rather a £200 one of fee personally though I wonder what @Slick will have to say about this

Yup. No way in hell will I play it beyond the beta. Even the best game in the world won't make me play it if I'm locked into playing it because of a fee. Buy to play would have been the ideal payment model. Probably why GW2 is still going strong.

What did you guys expect? I'm not surprised that it'll require a fee...

Doesn't bother me as long as it is good, and there are content updates. F2P models suck imo.

We didn't want it free to play we wanted it to either be a one off fee or a little bit less a month

Well I'm going to call it now. TESO will go f2p after failing to take away a large portion of the WoW crowd. Every MMO that ever came out as p2p targeting the WoW player has ended up that way.

15 a month is the standard monthly rate for most MMOs. I was hoping for it to not have a sub but I'm far from surprised and I'm still willing to buy pay and play the game.

I don't think it's trying to pull from the WoW crowd. The game mechanics are totally different.

for the mmo community I'm guessing they will be willing to pay but for the TES players who were used to much lower prices its a bit disappointing although I'll at least get a month and see if I like it then decide if I'll continue playing :)

I got let down as soon as I saw some gameplay and looks like I will have to wait for it to have a trial before I can get my hands on it.

I like this move. It means there will be some control on noobs and the hardcore players. You wont just have all the noobs in the world trying to play, but the players who actually want to play the game.

All the noobs. Ever played Runescape? Yerrr that, but in TES. Lol, I personally would like to avoid another Lumbridge if possible.

I have back when it was actually good I was the biggest noob ever back then since I was only 11-12  but I don't play mmo's I tried wow and couldn't get into it but teso appeals to me and it looks like it will be a great game so I think I'll probably end up paying for it anyway

Thats kind of what I mean. Only people who are interested in the game will be willing to pay for it and consistantly pay for it.

Logic:

Paid subscription = no noobs.

HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAA.

NO!

Have you seriously never heard of noobs with mommy and daddy's credit cards?

I used to play WOW years ago (a long while before when gaming under level 20 was free) and like any subscription or non-subscription based game, noobs were everywhere. There are many noob kids in these kind of games with complete disregard to their parents' money. And the parent pays for these things as a way to babysit the kid. So don't be surprised when you encounter lots of noobs in TESO.

Yeah I get what you mean I think paying monthly has benefits like they have to keep improving if they want to to keep making money its not like they have your money straight away and then they don't care about you, I guess I'm fine with the price as long as theres plenty of lore especially on the dwemer
