I reckon a dry paper towel ( or several) would be better

So I've ordered the Hyper 212 Evo from Amazon, replacing my crappy stock cooler. Only problem which I have, I don't have any Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol.

What's the best way of removing the thermal paste?

Thanks for your time

In a stretch even a dry napkin or toilet paper would do the trick.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

You can use a barely damp papertowel to wipe it off, it just won't clean out the pores of the metal as well compared to isopropyl.

aftershave can provide a decent cleaning fluid, plus it will smell nice while you are doing it :)

Use a wet wipe/baby wipe, then dry with paper towel? It's what i used to do back when Arctic Silver 5 was the top tier paste to use.

Try to get the bulk of it off first and to clean off and residue the heatspreader using a papertowel that is slightly damp will work.

Just so you know, if you want to say the same thing to all the people you're quoting, you don't have to say it under every quote, just quote everyone and write the thing after all the quotes.

mother of tautology
