The story is genius but IMO it doesn't show it in a great way. It's a little overhyped I think

whats so good about fallout 4? every one seems to be hyped up on it

For me I love the attention to detail.

For example I was playing elders scroll oblivion (from the makers of fo3/4 and they play quite similierly)

 

I had just bought a house in the game in a town and I think I was winding up for the night, I was bored and just jumping around the house being an idiot and I went upstairs and found these rafters supporting the house I thought hmm wonder if I could jump up there so I did and jumped from rafter to rafter til I house myself on this "platform" that was over the entryway to the room, much to my surprize there was a note up there. This note I cant remember the details but it absicly started an unmarked quest where the previous home owner hid I think a treasure of some kind in his house and he had left it there for whatever reason that I cant recall.

 

But its those little things that make me smile and love the games and deal with their jank. ive had similer things in fo3 and new vegas but that one was my favorite.

ok so what is it about?

I haven't played any of the fallout games so I know most of the stuff from the trailers ive seen.

 

But it's about a nuclear war/disaster and the main character is still alive as one of the few people and has to find his way through the wastelands.

....WHAT?! no it isnt... there is NOTHING MMORPG about it

Yeeeeeeahh.... There is nothing about it that is a MMORPG.

It is simply a post-nuclear apocalypse survival RPG with detailed story quests, insanely detailed (non-grinding) side quests, and a fully open world that you can explore at your whim with easter eggs galore.

Really, there is no Multiplayer or Role Playing ? I respectfully  say it is meant to be an mmorpg, they hyped the multiplayer aspect and the whole "building a town deal" from what I've seen.

They showed off building a home/settlement (which is important in fo/es games with all the items you can get and the limited carry weight you have)

But they have never said anything about multiplayer. There has never been a multiplayer fo as far as I know other then an mmo that was being made by interplay after fo3 came out but was canned due to legal conflicts with Bethesda

You saw wrong. It's an RPG.

 

It's a single player there is no MMO part.

you would have heard of much rage if it was an mmo after the disappointment of the elders scrolls online.

Open world sandbox RPG, with extensive character customization / specialization via perks. Decent storyline, which makes you feel like you're making a fairly big impact based upon your actions.

 

Also, mod support.
