980 or 390?

I might be able to get a MSI 980 for about the same price as a new 390, is it worth getting the 980 used or just getting the 390 new?

Considering the R9 390 performs on the same level as a 970, get the 980

If it was the 390X then go for the 390X but the 390 against the 980... Then you're essentially comparing a 970 to a 980. 

I still think if you can afford it go for the 390X because in most instances it does edge out the 980 and it generally cost less than the 980.

Yea, he said like 390 since im local... but that blows i tried to talk him down to like 350
