950 vs 960

Ok so im looking for a card either 950 or 960, sub 200 bucks. Smallest card, like a single fan evga or something. VERY light 1080p gaming but more for everyday stuff.

Should i just stay with a 950? Im upgrading from a 750ti. I sold the 750ti i had and need a card to replace it.

A 950 should cut it (actually kinda what it's built for). I don't think there are single-fan 380s

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

I would just get the 950

its not going to be much of an upgrade from the 750ti though

you'd be better off waiting until you had more money or the 950ti is released

Thats why im asking if i should do the 960 instead of the 950... is the few extra bucks worth it? I wont be doing any fps games, just games like diablo 3, minecraft... very simple stuff

the 960 would perform better, but all of those games will run fine on a 950

I have seen people even run minecraft with shaders on the 950 with no problems, so its definitely enough

I figured it would, ran fan on the 750ti. The pc is basicly a HTPC, only has a g3258 at 3.8ghz on an h87 itx board.

Wont a 380 take alot more power? And more heat?

Im looking for a tiny card... kinda like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B013WQCC8Q/ref=psd_mlt_nbc_B013XFK0R6_i

Also most of the 380s are only 200 bucks... very strict 200 limit, sold my 750ti for 200 so thats what im gonna use to buy a new one

What about this? On sale for $140, it'll be the best value out of anything recommended here for your needs. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202128&cm_re=R9_285-_-14-202-128-_-Product

RIP in pepperonis m8s

Needs 8 pin power and still less powerful then the 960... its why im not a fan of amd. Cards are horribly inefficient compared to nvidia
