Spam email?

So I just received an email which looked to be a legitimate receipt from PayPal.

 

I knew immediately it was fake however looking at the sender details as well as the fact that I don't even have the amount of money it claimed me to have sent to someone...

 

Either way I had some fun reading through it, laughing at the obvious errors and noticed one thing - what was whoever sent this actually intending with this? There was not a single link in it, so the typical "trick someone to click this seemingly legitimate link" aka phishing can't be it.. it has obvious mistakes and is most certainly fake.. So what's the point else than to waste my time?

I get some random spam from Spain. Can't really tell what they are about since I know very little spanish ^^

I have never gotten an email like that. Once again, I don't know how people get spam.

My gmail account has over 3500 emails and there is absolutely no spam.

I even have alternate gmail accounts that feed into my main gmail, those do not have any spam either.

My mum got sent a couple Emails claiming to be from paypal. She tells my brother his paypal account been hacked and he tells her he doesn't even have a paypal account. So I come in and have a look at the email and straight away see that the email address doesn't even contain paypal in it. So I say it's fake. Mum goes need to dejunk the computer. Me facepalm.

I think I got that same email. 

When I first saw it I thought "Why would I get this email from paypal, when I never use it?". Then I thought "Why would they send me an email without any of their logos etc?", and finally "why isn't this a proper paypal email address and why would the reply go to a different address?"

 

If you use Gmail, I'd advise you to mark it as phishing so that Google will blacklist the IPs and filter the content.

I have a zimbra email that gets like 3 or 4 pieces of spam a day.

Lol try having business domains... I had a warning that we had exceeded our group mailbox quota of 1gb, had not download the catch all address for a mouth and had 1000's and 1000's of spam emails lol

I don't get any spam in my normal inbox, but my spam folder gets a few porn spams.... in a different language..
