Star Wars: Prequels or Sequels?

(NOTE: This thread Is meant to discuss certain aspects of the Star Wars franchise, If the thread gets out of hand beacuse fanboys have too many nerdgasms ;) I will have to ask a mod to remove It, Thanks!)

 

So, the ages old question, Star Wars: The Sequels or The Prequels? What do you think sequels did better than the prequels? And the prequels did better than the sequels? And what are your hopes for the upcoming movie when reflecting on the other films?

 

I have no prefrence when It comes to the sequels or the prequels, but I do prefer the movies In this order: 3-6-2-4-5-1 (sorry Jar-Jar, youre on the bottom).

 

Alot of things people complain about with the Prequels Is the acting. And yes the acting was, bad to put It nicely, but It wasnt beacuse of the actors, It was beacuse of YOU George :P 1 time he actually told an actor to qoute: "Do It again, but this time, do It better". But the fact of the matter Is that acting In the sequels wasnt good either :P Infact, In the sequels the characters feel so lifeless, theres no emotion, but In the prequels there Is SOOO much emotion, and It really makes for a great story. Like when Leia's home planet Is blown up theres not a tear to see, or when she talks to the Moff In that wierd robot like British accent. The only scene In the sequels that had any emotion was when Luke found out Vader was his father. I also like the way Anakin Is portrayed, It shows that the Villian that we all know and loved wasnt so cold and lifeless after all, (though some may call Anakin a spoiled brat) In the prequels, what he showed were basic human emotions that drove him to darkness. In the sequels, they really show that Light side and Dark side really Isnt so black and white after all.

 

Theres so much more to this but I really cant write It all :P

Also objectively speaking, the lightsaber fights in the prequels are 200x better than anything from the originals. But the space fights in the prequels were more imaginative but the effects in the originals just stand up so well

Are 4,5,6 prequils or sequels? In the movie or in the time it was made?

though I loved the first for awhile... when I used to like the racing part.. wich I though was cool.

I like 4 5 and 6 much more than 1 2 and 3.

They were, however the fight between Obi-Wan and Vader made sense that It was like 2 old guys with sticks, considering Vader Is 50% machine and has asthma and Obi-Wan was like 80 years old :P

not at all. It had to do with the style, They intended to do a more European fencing style rather than martial arts, the later of which was way more interesting

I don't know why people are so into them. Sure they are great movies and the one coming out soon looks amazing but nothing to talk about for decades

They were, however the fight between Obi-Wan and Vader made sense that It was like 2 old guys with sticks, considering Vader Is 50% machine and has asthma and Obi-Wan was like 80 years old :P

I like the first one the most, without a doubt. I love the pod racing. It's just so cool.

 

With that being said I have no real preference for the prequels or sequels.

I love all of the movies. They are fantastic with their own problems that could have been fixed to make them even better.

 

I count the The Clone Wars series movie as a SW movie too. ;)

I honestly loved Ep.3, how aniken became darth vadar. Maybe its cuz it didnt have cheesy special effects from the 80's but the feel of the movie was better IMHO

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.
