One Plus One or One Plus X?

I want to get a new cheap but decent Android phone. Which one of these should I get? Or should i get a different brand? I would have a look at the One Plus Two but I don't know when its invite system is being taken down. So which one would you get?

I have an OnePlus One and I'm really satisfied. If you ask me, I can still feel that it's relevant and up to date even today.

Oneplus One is okay still though, also larger.

 

 

Oneplus Two is crap, too expensive, you can get LG G4 or Note 4 for the price of 1+2 and they spank it.

It depends. If OP does a decent job with calibration on the X and if it's a panel from this year from Samsung, then go for the X. If it's an older panel, power consumption might be too high and you'd be better off with an LCD like that in the One.

I have the OnePlus one and I'm happy with it. Has every feature I need, I have the 64GB model and paid about 160 GBP for it.

1+2 is twice as expensive and crappy. 1+2 is by far the worst oneplus phone to date.

 

You do realize the Oneplus X's hardware is literally the exact same as the One's asides from the screen and battery?

Same Snapdragon 801 processor, same Adreno 330 GPU, same 3GB of RAM, same 13MP camera.

 

The X has a considerably smaller battery, though. The One's 3100mAh vs. the X's 2525mAh.

yes, and it's cheaper and has higher quality build materials. Also battery size trade-off is probably equal to screen size/efficiency and Oneplus X can last even longer. Look at Z3 and Z3 compact, same hardware, smaller battery, smaller screen, lasts longer.

When I said hardware, I meant the specs that power the phone, not what it's made of.

 

There's no evidence that the X's battery lasts longer than the One's just because its screen is a half inch smaller. The fact that the battery was smaller wasn't really the point I was trying to make. I was trying to say that the One and the X are almost the exact same phone hardware-wise. There's no reason for you just to call the One "okay" compared to the X.

 

This is just my opinion, but I think the 5.0" display is too small for a phone, I like to have a wide screen so I can see videos, photos and other media more clear. This is based off of one's personal preference, obviously.

You said X is really bad. It's not really bad. It doesn't look even remotely bad.

Which panel would that be, though? Assuming that it's a panel already in use and not one specifically designed for the OPX (unlikely, given the price of the phone), the newest 5" 1080p AMOLED panel from Samsung would be the one used in the Galaxy S4. The S4's panel is very good, but it's certainly not new anymore. Might have higher power consumption than newer models.
