High Temps with GPU in loop

Hey there everyone, just checking temp on my processor at max load and getting over 80 degrees i'm not sure what's going on with my loop as mainly this started happening when i added my gpu to my loop, i'm not sure if the heat of the gpu might affect the real temp when it comes to temps off the cpu, I've got a phoyba pump, phoyba block, alphacool st30 radiator, ek 980ti block and phoyba res. i'm running a i7 4790k clocked at 4.0ghz stock and boosted to 4.4ghz, and currently rendering a video i'm getting in a range of temps from 72 - 87 degrees via RealTemp.

need more rad

yeah, more rad definitely. 

Currently got the rad at the top of my case exhausting air out the case with the fans on top if i were to add a second rad to the front of the case what config would i use for that push air in or pull air out.

How many radiators do you have if it's 360mm worth then that should be good enough. if it's 240mm worth or less, there's your problem.

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

yep definitly suck air in through the front, especially on the DS200, as air is just gonna get trapped in the front panel.

It appears that he has a 240mm rad only... he could throw another one in the front..?

you would want it as an intake... you dont want all exhaust if you dont have any other intakes

What do you guys think of putting a 280mm Radiator in the front of my case with 2 140mm noctua fans pushing air in

his rads only a 240 which is his problem

you would want it as an intake... you dont want all exhaust if you dont have any other intakes

You need to put an IR gun on your radiator to get an idea what your loop water temperature is doing.  Ideally you would have an inline temperature sensor.  If you see the inlet temperature going to your CPU is substantially colder than the outlet temperature, then you need higher flow rate.  If you see the entire loop temperature (inlet and outlet) increasing then you need more rad.

is the GPU before the CPU in the loop? 

are you sure that your pump is strong enough for the multiple items on the loop?

are you sure that your pump is strong enough for the multiple items on the loop?

my gpu is after cpu in loop, it goes from res to pump, pump to rad, rad to cpu, cpu to gpu, gpu to res.

also idk if this would have much to do with the cooling but my radiator is under the grill and the fans on top of the grill of the case as i cannot fit the fans and rad together as there isn't enough room at the top of the case could that also be cause not enough heat to get dissipated from the rad, whats your thoughts on that.

No it didn't I made my own mounts, there was a hard drive cage blocking the rad on the front, the fans on the front sat too low, the top didn't have enough space to fit the rad on top under a grill and it only fits a 240mm 27mm thick rad not a 360mm 30mm thick.

then you simply sandwich the grill between the fans and radiator, in either order. you will not need to modify the case at all. I have it.

 

you have clearance for a 30mm thick rad in the front, and a roughly 40mm thick in the top (more if you hang it under the grill, with fans in the top instead).

30mm will be at the top as i tried to add the 45mm rad to the top and it didn't fit on my ds 200 but planning a 280mm for the front 30mm thick rad with my noctua fans on it, should hopefully fit.
