Since Minecraft is mostly CPU intensive, wouldn't a quad core Athlon 860k be better?

I'm pretty sure Minecraft favors stronger single core CPU's.  And the Pentium can be upgraded to higher end CPU's later on.

a 750ti build may end up faster, but I think think minecraft runs well on anything, plus you'd lose the SSD

Also for some reason that SSD is cheaper in canada than it is on the US newegg, not sure what that's about

The A10 7850k is 60 dollars more, but I don't think the performance gain is going to be worth it
