Hello everybody, I'm that13thguy; a total skyrim noob. Never played the game much passed the first few town/missions and I have a few questions. What is the best class to start out with, is mage good? And also how should I play that class? And should I play with controller or keyboard and mouse, how about 3rd and 1st person?! Help me enjoy the game for the "first" time the best!

Tanks to everybody who will help me, yes you heard me tanks!!

For your first play through, I recommend sneak skills and a archery (long story short, 2-3 shoting dragons at level 16, and 1 shoting all non-boss enemies when sneaking and undetected-had to increase the difficulty even further and add mods). For close combat it comes down to if you want fast attacks (dual wielding, or slow powerful attacks (two handed). As for controls, without mods a controller can make things easier as the UI is set up for consoles as Bethesda forgot to change it for PC)

First person

Keyboard and Mouse

Make your own class, focus on whatever skills you like, because eventually you will get them all to 100 and be a god.

Stealth, lock picking, and speech are useful at low levels.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Race depends on what are you gonna do.

For archery you probably want something like a wood elf.

For conjuration you probably want a dark elf

General magic probably high elf too, because they start with more magic.

For two handed weapons you probably want an Orc or Nord

For stealth you probably ant Argonian or Khajit.

It really depends on what you are gonna do.

I would say sneak and destruction magic+archery I think is fun.

Sneak in general is fun to me, two handed weapons too, destruction magic is cool too. IMO archery is a bit too boring.

1st person is prefered, I only use 3rd person when I want to look at my character and stuff.. It's not good for fighting and stuff.

I prefer M+KB, but controller is possible too.

Yeah I have a small question.

I made my caracter, its a skinny grey looking dark elf with red eye's named Kuhn. I'm chose the spell class but I'm not suee if I should use both my hand for spells or if I should use one for a small weapon like now. Can you help me out with that?

Depends on how fast you run out of spells. I would probably say if you run out of magicka before killing an enemy, use 1 hand for a sword.

But what you could also do is install this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37006

Because with that you can make it so your 1st set of spells on bound to 1 on your keyboard, your melee weapon is tied to 2 and your 2nd set of spells to key 3, etc. Really helpful and I have been using this mod for a long time and highly recommend it!

Mage is not a good Noob Class. You should start with melee/bow combination.

1st or 3rd, well thats easy. What you enjoy the most. 1st Person give you a better Feeling to be the actual Hero you play, thats why i always choose 1st Person.

K+M is always the superior solution, you simply can move and fight better and faster.
