970 at 1080p vs 980ti at 1440p

pretty simple question
what will get more fps the 970 at 1080p or the 980ti at 1440P.  OBVIOUSLY this will change game to game, but in general.

my gues is the 980ti at 1440p, but what do you guys think?

Take a look for yourself. Generally the more demanding games will be 980ti 1440p while the less demanding games will be 970 1080p.

Me thinks the 390X is good for 1440p. It can handle it and it's cheaper than the 980 Ti (in my country, the price difference is 120usd)

I'm going to give the edge to the 970 in the majority of situations. Regardless, I doubt you'd see more than a 10% difference in FPS.
