What Psu + cheap case would you recommend for this system?

Vsonic
Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

i really dont know i was thinking 800w tops and it just picked that i was like ermm ok i guess haha

Oh, 8350, I saw 6300 - 650-700W is more than fine for that. 660 isn't a power hungry card - that's the 670/680 from the 600 series

Hey im building a new computer for gaming and i have most of the parts and some to order but my problem is a big enough but cheap enough case and the right psu to use can any one help me please..

My setup will contain these parts

AMD FX-8350

ROG crosshair V Formula Z

Corsair Hydro series H100i 240mm

2x Corsair Vengeance 4gb DDR3

1x Nvidia Geforce GTX 660

3x Sata 7200rpm 2TB hdd

1x SSD 500gb

1x generic DVDRW

+ Fluff eg touchscreen fan controller and maybe lights

I did the calculator on coolmasters site and it estimated 1237W | is this realistic or would a 750w be enough ?

EVGA G2/GS 550W
SeaSonic G-series 550W
Antec High Current Gamer 620M
XFX TS 550W.

A Fractal Case - not cheap but f*cking beautiful.

EDIT: How did it factor 1200W? Defaq?

ooh that case does look good but im kind of a drive bay freak when it comes to cases.

Well - you could find an alternative that fits you better - the Define R4/R5 have drive bays :P - Define S is mainly for space - drives are on the back.

As for PSU - I'd say get the 750W since the 650W and 750W are both the same price.

I felt like I should comment something constructive: get this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7sTQJx

I didn't pick a cases and PSU yet as that is personal preference but 500W should be plenty PSU wise. I don't know your budget but you could expand this build with a K series CPU (if you want skylake you need another board though), a CPU cooler or a better GPU. You really shouldn't buy so much extra storage for something that's - let's be honest - isn't going to make you any money.
