Issue with mounting

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

So i yolo in with the 2011 on 2011 v3?

Mobo is krait x99

Cpu is 5820k

2011 is physically the same as 2011 v3

I cant mount my kelvin s36 onto the lga 2011 v3,im scared itll squash the cpu..

:'(

The 2011 mount it has is supposed to work on the 2011v3 but the cpu is so tall and idk what to do.

They give springs,if i dont use it i can mount the thing... shud i go without the springs

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

the springs are there to apply pressure

its SUPPOSED to be extremely tight

just screw it in

the reason the springs are there is so that you can tighten the screws all the way without worrying about too much pressure
