Even when you don't overclock heavy, your VRM can start to get really hot when stressed which results in throttling the CPU which again affects the performance.

 

I doubt it'd get too hot at all. The Hyper 212 Evo and the case airflow should be enough to keep it cool.

WoodenMarker is right--The MSI board is good enough for overclocking. The CPU cooler would stop you before the VRM. As long as there is good case airflow, it would be fine.
