Instead of finishing the beta on October 11th with a load of basic bugs and broken mechanics, I feel as though dice should extend the beta so they can actually fix some of the issues such as the terrible spawns and some of the balancing issues.  I feel like if they were to fix those issues in the beta then it will prove to they player community that they will indeed fix the issues before launch and possibly improve the player count.  However, they will not be able to fix some of the bigger things like flight combat and sensitivity and make it more likely for the rebels to win.  I believe it would be a good start to show the players they care about a good game.  It would also be nice to play this game a little longer since the game is amazing.

In the comments please post if you think this would be a good idea, if you like the game, and any issues you have noticed AND how they can fix them.

Thank you.

Wait... Dice beta, actually fixing bugs?

You don't seem to understand why Dice puts games up for Beta my good man.

You see, Dice doesn't care about bugs. Dice doesn't care about in what state a game releases. Do you know what Dice cares about?

Publicity.

That one simple word is the reason we have a beta for all of their games. Give your fans the chance to get on and play the game a month before it launches, not to find and fix bugs, but to get everyone pumped up for the release. It's like chumming water to bring in sharks. Just think back to the BF4 beta, it played decently well, didn't have at least that many problems. But do you know what? Every problem from the beta, carried over to the game on launch day, and for literal months afterwards.

dice doesn't care about bugs, or fixing any of those myths. They care about money, and publicity. Those two factors alone are why they put out betas.

a, if you like the game, and any issues you have noticed AND how they can fix them.

Thank you.

Buying things between matches just steals your money, jetpack physics are weird when you bump off a wall so you can be launched real far forward backward, or up (usually up), and the empire always wins on hoth unless everyone on the rebel team does constant kamikaze runs and the empire team is down 5 people

Fixes the first two are glitches, the last one simply make the Y wing cooldown time less

PS not getting as other design choices EA made give this game low replay value

I haven't noticed any glaring bugs that make the game less enjoyable to me.

It's probably the most fun fps I've played in a looooong time as well.

it be nice if the sensitivity was so fucked up when aiming down the scope like da fuck? i would of fought the would have used battlefield engine and models but just loaded star wars graphics over them but apparently no they wanted to go a harder way lol which is fair as it should be unique but they need to sort the aiming out on 10% sensitivity with controller my scope is still bouncing all over the place but i still get mvp so cant compalin that much xD

Wasn't this beta just to ensure that the game doesn't release in a horribly broken state and keep the DICE Stockholm offices rep from being trashed like DICE LA?

They're probably focusing on a good launch and then focus on minor bug and balance fixes later.

Seems like a good idea. They should delay the game. http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/forums/categories/beta-feedback for feedback.

You want a broken game? Same... /s

ye because it so broken i cant play it and have fun see i enjoy playing games regardless of winning or losing don't care if games are unbalanced they will sort that eventually all the major bug are shit that can be fixed down line and not important the game works and its playable and i have fun playing it so no it don't need delaying

a broken game was cod 4 where you could jump out the map or cod world at war again you could jump out map or battlefield where again you can bug out the map and gta v online again you can bug out the map FUCK ME ARE ALL GAMES BROKEN? shit bugs get over it

Great use of periods and capitals. There are no technical errors. The gameplay is broken, though. So many mechanics can be abused. God, are people like you annoying.

That is the exact reason the game sucks and EA should feel bad. This may come as a complete shock to some but games should be fun. Not you thrown in to be spawn camped. At this point as a developer you have to work at not making a fun game, it takes effort. EA had to put effort into making it the single most unbalanced game I have ever played in my life. I would rather step in the ring with Mike Tyson than load Battlefront ever again. I'd have a better chance.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I rarely play multiplayer FPS, but I had fun with the beta, mainly while flying around and raining death over the AT-AT. But man, talk about spawn camping! You had to go shields up the second you came out of spawn or you'd be killed immediately.

I didn't see any glaring technical issues with the beta.

why are people like you so serious and forget what games are made for :) im anoying because i dont care if the game is buggy like every other game ever made? hmm okay then ill carry on being enjoying games and laffing when i press y to spawn on my partner who was in combat and i die straight away and remembering more important shit in the world and ill smile and carry on being a fan of star wars and playing this game regardless of how bad it is fuck i play swtor mmorpg game and thats terrible game if you compared it to wow or the original star wars mmo but hey its star wars and fun  but i do get your point that i can see it pissing off people who care but im just sayign i personally dont care but if you do then dont buy it for a couple months till most the bugs get sorted and then buy it and then sell it or what ever as new bugs have appeared :)

im sorry lets be honest were the imperial really over powered compared to the rebels and crushed nearly everything star wars was a massive underdog story -_- and also right rebels can win hoth i seen it loads and have done it all it takes is having a team that understand objectives and not complete idiots running around looking for the hero power up i really think there hero power up should become active half way through the match to the mvp on each team but that would just piss people off who are shit at the game so you cant win there :P and if your moaning about spawn problems that u cant over come them so everyone has same spawn issues so like me for example i get 30 kills on avarge a game as i ent got used to the really sensitive aim down scope lol i saw a guy with 60 kills 5 deaths he still spawns same everyone else  so what ur really saying is your shit at the game and cant stay alive long enough to kill people?

Kill to death means nothing to me, I have a .2k/d in Mechwarrior Online, I still have fun. I have fun because I'm at least given a chance to fight back. And the giant mech aspect of the game. In SW Battlefront who ever gets the perks, wins. You're given a base weapon and shot within seconds by someone who has every advantage. If you're having fun killing everyone, good for you. Like every game that ignores balance you'll be playing by yourself at some point. Games live and die by how much fun they are. For everyone, not just a few.

It's a fine idea, I suppose. And indeed, they did extend the beta until Tuesday. But I think you might misunderstand—they're looking for feedback during the beta. They aren't likely to be able to actually push out fixes to us while we play. These types of changes can take weeks sometimes, and with some luck we'll see some of the changes in the final release.
